Kevin
Wood portrays President Abraham Lincoln, one of our nation's most beloved and esteemed historical figures.
He has made appearances at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum,
the Lincoln Home National Historic Site,
the Lincoln Heritage Museum,
and the Chicago History Museum, among many other places and events.
As President, Mr. Lincoln ably led our nation
through its darkest days, when brother fought against brother, and the fabric of
our "more perfect Union" was nearly torn asunder.
Mr. Lincoln is available to share his
remarkable story at a wide variety of venues, including libraries, museums,
senior residences, schools,
churches, civic/historical events,
conferences, and parties. He even participates as
"Running Abe" in races and triathlons.
He
offers 14 set programs for adult/general
audiences, from his standard program on our nation's history (and his own
history) during his time to more specialized programs on Thanksgiving,
immigration, slavery & emancipation, his stories & jokes, leadership, his
law career, his political career, the Gettysburg Address, literature & the
theatre, education, his "Lost Speech", his Illinois years, and religion & the
Bible.
Full
presentations are available either in English or Spanish, in addition to a
basic presentation in French or German.
